Chapter 18: Red Saree & Unspoken Desires

It was a breezy afternoon when Veeresh called her.

“Poornima, I want you to come to my office. Wear that red saree. You know which one.”

She paused, holding her phone between her ear and shoulder while gently patting Aradhya’s back. “Red saree? For what meeting exactly, Mr. Suryavanshi?”

“Meeting with my heart. And only you’re invited.”

She blushed, rolling her eyes. “You’re incorrigible.”

“I’m your husband. That’s my full-time job now. Be here in an hour.”

Poornima entered Suryavanshi Enterprises, draped in a soft red silk saree, with delicate golden borders that shimmered under the office lights. Her earrings swayed as she walked, and every head turned—half in awe, half in admiration.

The receptionist nodded and gestured toward Veeresh’s private cabin. She didn’t need directions. Her feet already knew the way.

The door opened with a soft click.

He was standing near the glass window, hands in his pockets, looking out at the skyline.

When he turned, the air between them changed.

His eyes locked onto hers... then traveled slowly—reverently—down the length of her saree-clad figure. That deep red. That elegance. That quiet fire in her eyes.

Veeresh removed his tie and shirt and he kissed her deeply passionately and she returned it back.
