Marked by Love

The night had been intense — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually. Every wound they’d hidden, every scar they carried, melted into that one night of surrender.

Veeresh lay on the bed, his arms wrapped tightly around Poornima. Her body, tired and warm, rested peacefully against his. Her skin bore his marks — love bites, soft bruises of passion and possession. He brushed his fingers across them, a faint, proud smile tugging his lips.

> “You only belong to me, Poornima,” he whispered softly near her ear.

She stirred gently and smiled in her sleep, unconsciously moving closer into his chest, her hand resting against his heart. That smile — it calmed every storm in his soul.

Veeresh kissed her forehead and closed his eyes, content.

Meanwhile, at the door...

Sahana had returned, unnoticed.

She had come back to speak with Veeresh — perhaps to plead, perhaps to confront — but the moment her eyes met the scene inside, she froze.

There they were.

Two souls… tangled in a quiet, peaceful sleep.

A man who once belonged to her... now fully someone else’s.

She noticed the love marks on Poornima’s neck and shoulders, the way Veeresh held her like he’d never let go again. It hit her like a cold slap — not just that she lost him… but that he never looked that peaceful with her.

Sahana didn’t make a sound.

No tears. No tantrums.

Just silence…

And she turned away quietly.

Her heels echoed down the corridor as she walked off, disappearing into the night.

Morning Light – Next Day

The sun broke through the curtains.

Veeresh slowly woke up to see Poornima already sitting up, fixing her mangalsutra and applying sindoor, her reflection soft in the mirror.

> “Where are you going, Mrs. Veeresh?” he asked, stretching.

> “To make coffee,” she smiled. “For my husband.”

Veeresh walked over, wrapped his arms around her from behind, looked at her reflection, and said,

> “Let this smile never fade. From now on… it’s only us, Poornima.”

They smiled.

Marked by love.

Bound by trust.

Healing… together.
