Chapter 8: “The Breaking Point, The Binding Promise”
(Veeresh & Poornima)
---
🕯️ His Room – That Night
Poornima sat on the edge of his bed, wrapped in his sweatshirt, her hair still damp from her earlier tears.
Her fingers fumbled with the hem.
Veeresh knelt before her — his eyes quietly pleading.
She finally looked at him.
Poornima (through tears):
“I trusted you… and you—”
Her voice broke.
“You’re the worst kind of guy, Veeresh. I should never have let you touch me.”
She sobbed.
Poornima:
“You spoiled everything.”

🖤 Silence… and Then
He didn’t try to defend himself with words.
Not then.
Instead, he leaned forward and cupped her face.
She flinched, but he didn't let go.
And he kissed her.
A kiss not of passion, but apology.
Not of desire, but devotion.
His lips trembled against hers — like he was asking for forgiveness with every breath.
She tried to resist. She wanted to.
But something inside her cracked open — a dam holding back longing and grief.
She kissed him back.
The ache between them needed release — not just of bodies, but of hearts.
He slowly removed the clothes of both and he kissed her deeply, cheeks, jaw, neck gave marks, poornima moaned and slowly entered inside her and she said veeresh,he kissed her and said i am there , just be ease,he kissed her tummy because there baby is there safely and after few more thrust,he spillied inside her and pulled duvet on them and slept of
☀️ Morning Light – His Room
Veeresh sat beside her on the bed, his shirt unbuttoned, hair tousled.
She lay quiet, watching the sunlight touch the edges of the blanket.
Veeresh (softly):
“I need to tell you something.”
She turned away.
He gently placed his hand on hers.
Veeresh:
“When we first met… yes, I made a stupid bet with a friend… that I could make my academic rival fall for me.”
Her body stiffened.
“But Poornima…”
He exhaled, voice shaking.
“You weren’t just a challenge. You became everything real. I didn’t expect you to enter my life like a storm and change it.”
She didn’t speak.
Veeresh (voice low):
“I fell for you… so damn hard it scared me.”
He slid down beside her, resting his forehead against her shoulder.
Veeresh:
“I’m not running away. Not from you. Not from us. I don't care what people say, or how hard this gets.”
She slowly turned to him — her eyes no longer burning with rage, but with shattered softness.
Veeresh (whispered):
“We’ll complete our education… together.
We’ll raise this baby… together.
We’ll balance everything… together.”
A tear slipped from her eyes again.
But this time, she let him wipe it.
