Poornima’s eyes widened as Veeresh’s hand gripped her wrist, pulling her through the crowd. “Veeresh! What nonsense are you doing?!” she shouted, struggling slightly.
“Shut up,” he said firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument. Before she could react further, he guided her into the car and closed the door. Poornima’s heart raced as the engine roared to life, her mind spinning with confusion and fury.
The drive to Jodhpur Palace was tense, the silence between them loaded with unspoken words. Poornima’s hands fidgeted in her lap while Veeresh’s eyes remained locked on the road, jaw clenched, thoughts unreadable.
When they arrived, his parents were waiting. Sharada’s eyes narrowed slightly, a mix of surprise and concern. “Veeresh… what is happening?”
Veeresh didn’t look at them. His voice was steady, commanding. “I just brought my wife back. She is mine, and I will solve everything between us.”
Poornima froze, her protests caught in her throat as Veeresh led her by the arm straight into the palace. He pulled her into a room, closing the door behind them with a firm click.
“Change your clothes,” he said, his tone leaving no room for debate.
“I will not accept you, Veeresh!” Poornima said, her voice trembling with a mixture of anger and fear.
Veeresh stepped closer, eyes dark yet softer than before. “Ok,” he said quietly, but with absolute conviction. “Then I will earn everything. I broke you, Poornima. And now… I will fix it. I will rejoin you, Mrs. Raj. Piece by piece, I will make you mine in every way.”
Poornima’s chest tightened at his words. Despite her anger, despite the hurt, something deep inside stirred—a mix of fear, longing, and the undeniable truth: he would never let go.
And for the first time in weeks, she realized the battle between them was far from over.
