Chapter 22 – Aarav and the Courtroom Victory

The Rathore Mansion was alive with celebration. Colorful decorations adorned the halls, flowers filled the rooms, and laughter of family and friends echoed throughout.

At the center of it all, Poornima cradled Aarav in her arms, glowing with pride and joy. Veeresh stood beside her, dressed immaculately as always, but his eyes were softer, warmer as they followed her every movement.

“Today, we officially name our little prince,” Veeresh announced. The room hushed in anticipation. “His name will be Aarav Shekawat Rathore.”

Applause and cheers erupted. Poornima smiled, tears glimmering in her eyes as she kissed her son’s forehead. The family was overjoyed, celebrating the new chapter in their lives.

The next day, a different tension awaited them. Pavan’s stepmother had called for a court session, claiming rights over Aarav. Veeresh remained calm, his mind sharp as he presented evidence: Pavan’s written wishes, the hospital records, and proof of his lawful guardianship.

The judge reviewed the documents carefully. After a tense moment, the gavel came down.

“This court recognizes Veeresh Rathore as the legal guardian and protector of Aarav Shekawat Rathore. The claim is dismissed.”

Poornima’s eyes widened, and she immediately turned to Veeresh. Without thinking, she ran into his arms, hugging him firmly, her gratitude and relief spilling over.

Veeresh felt something stir deep within him—a flutter he couldn’t name. Instinctively, he hugged her back, holding her close, feeling her warmth, and for the first time, allowing himself a brief moment of emotional connection beyond duty.

Poornima pulled back slightly, smiling through tears. “Thank you… for everything.”

Veeresh’s lips twitched into the faintest of smiles. “Always. I promised… and I keep my promises.”

In that moment, the courtroom battle was over, but something far more profound had begun between them—a quiet, unspoken bond that neither had yet dared to name.
