Chapter 51– Waiting for the Miracle

The house was filled with laughter and warmth. Poornima was nine months pregnant now, her belly round and beautiful, glowing with life. Every morning, she would sit in the garden, gently rubbing her stomach, smiling as Aarav and Anaya played nearby.

Veeresh was never far. From preparing breakfast to making sure the kids were dressed and ready for school, he managed everything with quiet efficiency, his eyes always softening whenever he glanced at Poornima.

“Appa, look! Aarav drew a picture for the baby,” Anaya said, proudly showing a colorful sketch.

Veeresh took it, smiling widely. “Wow, champ! That’s beautiful. Our baby is going to love it.” He winked at Poornima, who was sitting nearby, her hand resting on her belly.

Poornima laughed softly. “You two are making this so special. Thank you, Veeresh.”

He came closer, kneeling beside her, his hand brushing over hers on her belly. “I’ll take care of everything, jaan. You don’t worry about a thing. Just focus on bringing our little miracle into the world safely.”

Aarav ran up and hugged her belly. “Hi, baby! Can’t wait to meet you!”

Anaya leaned close too. “Yes, come soon, little one. Mama is waiting!”

Poornima’s eyes filled with tears of happiness, and she looked at Veeresh, who was watching the kids with an expression of pride and joy. “Look at them… they love you so much, Veeresh.”

He smiled softly, brushing a kiss over her hand. “And I love you. And this little one… we’re going to protect you, always.”

Every day passed peacefully, filled with laughter, love, and small moments—Veeresh helping with schoolwork, Poornima sharing stories, the children preparing little gifts, and Veeresh constantly reminding Poornima how much she meant to him.

As the ninth month drew to a close, the house was ready, hearts full, and everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the newest member of their family.
