✨ Marked by the Villain — Chapter 59: A Ride to Remember ✨

---

The evening sky in Mumbai was painted in shades of orange and gold.

The breeze carried a soft calm after weeks of sleepless nights and diaper chaos.

Veeresh leaned against his matte black Ducati, arms crossed, that familiar dangerous smirk on his face.

Poornima walked out of the mansion, her long hair flowing, wearing a soft pastel kurta and jeans.

> “Ruby,” Veeresh called, voice low and teasing, “how about a ride?”

Poornima’s eyes widened in surprise, then glimmered with excitement.

> “A ride?” she repeated, pretending to think. “Wait—the underworld don himself is asking me for a bike ride? How beautiful, how romantic!”

Veeresh chuckled, stepping closer and holding out the helmet.

> “Don’t make it dramatic. Just sit.”

> “Tch. You didn’t even say please!” she teased, crossing her arms.

> “Please, Mrs. Deewan,” he said in mock seriousness, eyes softening, “come with me.”

Her heart melted.

> “Now that’s better.”

She climbed onto the bike behind him, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist.

The moment her chin rested on his shoulder, Veeresh smiled.

The engine roared to life, and the world blurred into streaks of color as they rode through the city — past the Marine Drive lights, the scent of the sea brushing against them.

Poornima’s laughter echoed in the wind.

For once, there were no guards trailing them, no enemies lurking in shadows — just them.

She leaned closer and whispered into his ear,

> “You know, this is the best gift you’ve ever given me.”

> “What, the bike?” Veeresh asked.

> “No,” she said softly, “this peace… this moment… with you.”

His heart stuttered for a beat.

The ruthless don who once ruled by fear was now ruled by the warmth of her words.

They stopped near a quiet cliffside overlooking the sea.

Poornima got down, her eyes glowing under the moonlight.

> “It’s beautiful,” she whispered.

> “Not more than you,” Veeresh said before he could stop himself.

Poornima blushed, then nudged him playfully.

> “You’re getting better at flirting, Don Saheb.”

He grinned.

> “I learned from the best.”

They rode back home, the night wrapping around them like a soft blanket.

When they returned, the guards quietly informed them the babies were asleep.

Poornima tiptoed to check — three tiny bundles, sleeping peacefully.

She smiled, turning back to Veeresh.

> “See? Even they know how to behave when mom and dad go out.”

He smirked, pulling her close.

> “Next time, let’s make it a longer ride.”

> “Only if you promise to make coffee afterward,” she whispered.

> “Deal.”

They both laughed softly, lying down beside each other.

Poornima snuggled against his chest, her fingers tracing the heartbeat that once knew only rage but now thumped with peace and love.

> “Goodnight, Don Saheb,” she murmured sleepily.

“Goodnight, my Ruby,” he whispered back, kissing her hair.

As the mansion settled into silence, the stars outside seemed to shine a little brighter — as if even the universe smiled at the unlikely love story of the feared Don and his gentle queen.
