Chapter 47: Back to Where We Belong

Veeresh walked into the room, his face calm but eyes filled with quiet determination. Poornima looked up from the window, her heart still heavy with everything she’d overheard on the terrace.

He stopped in front of her, loosened his tie, and said in his deep, steady tone,

“Pack our bags. We’re going back to London. My match, my rules… and my wife.”

For a second, she just stared — surprised, then smiling as her eyes softened. “Back to London?” she asked softly.

Veeresh nodded. “Yes. I’m done with this noise, with people trying to break us. I just want us now.”

Poornima’s smile widened, a tear slipping down her cheek. “Okay, Mr. Rajawat,” she whispered.

He stepped closer, brushed the tear away with his thumb, and whispered, “No more tears. Just you and me.”

Before she could reply, he pulled her into a warm embrace — firm, protective, full of unspoken promises. She melted against his chest, feeling his heartbeat match hers.

When he tilted her chin up, their eyes met — and the world faded.

The kiss that followed was deep, desperate, and full of every emotion they’d ever buried — pain, forgiveness, love, longing. Every boundary between them shattered as if their hearts had been waiting for this moment all along.

When they finally broke apart, foreheads still touching, Veeresh whispered,

“Let’s go home, Mrs. Rajawat.”

And Poornima smiled — because for the first time, she truly knew what home meant.
