Chapter 61: A New Dawn

The soft sunlight spilled through the curtains, touching Poornima’s face gently. She stirred awake, her body aching faintly, but her heart was calm — full, at peace.

For the first time, she felt complete… as if every broken piece of her had finally found its place.

She sat up quietly, glancing at Veeresh beside her. There was no trace of anger, no shadow of pain — only a faint smile curving his lips as he slept. He looked… free.

Poornima freshened up, her mind still replaying the way he had held her — not with rage, not with control, but with love that healed instead of hurt.

When she came out, Veeresh was awake, standing by the window with the morning light washing over him. He turned, his eyes soft and filled with something she had never seen before — peace.

Without a word, he walked toward her and cupped her face in his hands.

He kissed her deeply — not in passion alone, but in gratitude, in promise, in a silent vow that they would never let the past rule them again.

Poornima smiled against his lips, her eyes shining.

In that moment, nothing else existed — no revenge, no pain, no distance.

Only love. Only them.
