Epilogue: Always, Us

Years later…

The sun dipped behind the London skyline, painting the sky in shades of gold and crimson. In the garden of their countryside home, laughter echoed — little Adwait chased butterflies while Inayat sat on her father’s lap, playing with his beard and giggling.

Veeresh, once the man hardened by pain and betrayal, had changed in ways he never thought possible. His eyes — once cold — now softened whenever he looked at his family. He still had his aura of strength, but love had melted the stone within him.

Poornima walked out, holding two mugs of coffee. Her hair danced in the breeze, the same warmth in her eyes that had once challenged him, broken him, and finally, healed him. She handed him his cup and sat beside him on the swing.

> “They’re growing fast,” she said softly, watching their children.

“Yeah,” Veeresh smiled. “Just like you — stubborn and beautiful.”

She laughed, resting her head on his shoulder.

> “And like you — strong and impossible to argue with.”

He kissed her forehead.

> “You know, I still can’t believe this is my life.”

Poornima looked up.

> “You built it, Veeresh. You chose to love, to forgive, to live. I just walked with you.”

A soft silence followed, broken only by the giggles of their twins. Veeresh pulled Poornima closer and whispered,

> “You were right that night. Love doesn’t fix everything — but it gives us a reason to keep trying.”

She smiled through the tears forming in her eyes.

> “And we tried, didn’t we?”

> “Every single time,” he replied.

The children ran to them, climbing onto their laps, and Veeresh wrapped his arms around all three of them — his world, his everything.

> “Adwait, Inayat,” Poornima said gently, “one day you’ll know — your father wasn’t always this calm.”

“Mama, Papa’s a superhero,” Inayat giggled, hugging him tighter.

Veeresh chuckled.

> “Only because your mama taught me how to love.”

The wind swayed the swing gently as the four of them sat together, framed by the setting sun — a picture of peace after a storm.

Two broken hearts had found their way home, healing each other in ways the world could never understand.

> “Forever?” Poornima whispered.

Veeresh looked into her eyes and said,

“Every lifetime, Poornima. Every time — it will always be you.”

The swing creaked, the evening light dimmed, and the story of Veeresh and Poornima Rajawat ended not in perfection — but in peace, in love, and in forever.
