The sun barely rose that morning. Clouds hung low over the Jeon mansion, a storm waiting to break.
By the time Jungkook returned, whispers had already spread through the entire Alpha Council. One word carried from voice to voice — mark.
He could feel it. The change in the air. The way the guards avoided his eyes. The way even his secretary’s voice trembled when she said,
“Lord Namjoon has summoned you, Alpha Jeon. Immediately.”
Jungkook didn’t reply. He simply nodded, fixing his cuffs with cold precision, though inside, his pulse thundered.
He knew this moment would come. He just hadn’t expected it so soon.
Meanwhile, across the city, Jimin sat in silence, Yoongi’s ring still on his trembling finger.
When the door burst open, Yoongi stood there — his expression unreadable, his scent sharp with confusion and pain.
“Is it true?” he asked quietly. His voice wasn’t angry, not yet. It was worse — disbelieving.
“Yoongi, please—” Jimin began, but his voice broke.
“Jimin,” Yoongi said again, stepping closer. “Tell me it’s not true. Tell me Jungkook didn’t mark you.”
The silence that followed was the answer.
Yoongi’s jaw tightened. His eyes closed for a long moment, and when he opened them again, there was no hatred — only hurt.
“You were supposed to be mine,” he whispered. “And now you’re bound to him forever.”
Jimin’s tears fell again, but Yoongi turned away before he could speak.

At the same time, in the Kim estate, Taehyung stood before the mirror, staring at his reflection.
His heart had felt it the moment the mark was sealed — a burning in his chest, a thread snapping deep inside.
When Namjoon entered the room with Jin beside him, Taehyung didn’t even turn around.
“He marked someone else,” he said quietly, his voice trembling but steady. “Didn’t he?”
Namjoon’s gaze was sharp, commanding. “Yes,” he said simply. “And not just anyone. He marked Park Jimin.”
Jin gasped softly, his hand covering his mouth. Taehyung’s reflection in the mirror cracked into a bitter smile.
“Of course,” he whispered. “The perfect Alpha and the gentle Omega — how poetic.”
Namjoon stepped forward, his tone leaving no room for argument. “Prepare yourself. They’ll both face the Council tonight. The bond they created will not go unpunished.”
---
That evening, thunder rolled across the skies as Jungkook entered the marble hall of the Alpha Council.
Namjoon sat at the center, Jin beside him, eyes filled with quiet sadness. Taehyung and Yoongi stood at opposite sides — two hearts broken by one night neither Alpha nor Omega had meant to happen.
Jungkook didn’t bow. His pride wouldn’t allow it. But he did speak, voice deep and steady.
“I’ll take whatever punishment you decide,” he said, meeting Namjoon’s eyes. “But leave Jimin out of it. He doesn’t deserve your wrath.”
Namjoon’s gaze was cold. “You marked an Omega promised to another. You broke an engagement tied between two noble houses. Do you truly think anyone can be left untouched?”
Jungkook didn’t flinch. “Then let me bear it. Alone.”
From the back of the hall, Jimin’s voice rose, trembling but clear.
“No,” he said, stepping forward. “We both will.”
And for a moment, even Namjoon’s eyes softened — because in that instant, everyone in the room could see it:
This wasn’t just a mistake of instinct.
It was the beginning of something none of them could control.
