Chapter 6: The Sentence of the Council

The council chamber was carved from cold marble and silence.

Torches flickered along the walls, shadows stretching across the stone floor as if the room itself was alive with judgment.

Lord Namjoon sat high upon the dais, his presence commanding.

Beside him, Omega Jin watched quietly, sorrow softening his eyes.

Around them, the council of Alphas and Omegas murmured, voices heavy with tension.

At the center of it all stood Jeon Jungkook and Park Jimin.

Two names that once carried honor — now whispered with disgrace.

Namjoon’s deep voice broke through the murmurs.

“Alpha Jeon Jungkook,” he began, “you stand accused of violating the sacred laws of the bond — marking an Omega promised to another, without ceremony, without consent of the council, without control.”

Jungkook lifted his chin. “It was not planned. My rut—”

“Your rut is not an excuse,” Namjoon’s tone cut through him like ice. “A true Alpha masters his instincts. You let yours destroy alliances between houses.”

The words struck hard, but Jungkook didn’t flinch.

He only said, quietly, “I’ll bear whatever punishment you decide.”

Namjoon’s gaze turned to Jimin. “And you, Omega Park Jimin — engaged to Alpha Min Yoongi — broke your vow of loyalty. Whether by will or weakness, your actions have consequences.”

Jimin bowed his head, tears glimmering in his eyes. His voice was barely a whisper.

“I never meant to hurt anyone… but my Omega— it— it responded to him. I couldn’t stop it.”

The hall filled with whispers again. Even Jin looked away, unable to bear the sight.

Then Namjoon raised his hand, and silence fell.

“Your union,” he said sternly, “cannot be accepted. The Council decrees that the mark be disowned. Jungkook, you are to reject this bond. Disown your Omega, here and now — before all.”

The words hung in the air, sharp as a blade.

Jimin froze. His heart clenched painfully, the bond inside him trembling. His Omega whimpered in panic — the thought of being cast aside by its Alpha was worse than death.

Jungkook stood still, head bowed. For a moment, everyone thought he would obey. That he would do the logical thing — the political thing.

But then a low sound rumbled from deep within his chest. A growl — raw, primal, dangerous.

When he lifted his head, his eyes were darker than night.

“I will never disown my Omega,” he said, voice steady but burning with fury.

Gasps filled the chamber.

Namjoon’s eyes hardened. “You defy the Council?”

“I defy injustice,” Jungkook said. “You can strip me of my title, take my land, destroy my name — but I will never cast away someone my soul has already claimed.”

Behind him, Jimin’s tears fell silently — not from fear, but from something deeper.

His Omega purred weakly, comforted by the sound of its Alpha’s voice even as his human heart broke in confusion.

Namjoon stood slowly, his presence filling the room.

“Then hear your punishment, Jeon Jungkook,” he said, his voice echoing like thunder. “From this day forward, you are stripped of your Council rank. Your engagement to Taehyung Kim is void. You are exiled from the Capital for one full cycle of the moon.”

Jungkook didn’t move. He didn’t argue.

He only glanced at Jimin — one look, brief but heavy with everything neither of them could say.

“Take him,” Namjoon ordered.

As the guards approached, Jimin reached out without thinking, his trembling fingers brushing Jungkook’s sleeve.

The moment their skin touched, a pulse ran through the air — their bond glowing faintly for all to see.

And in that fleeting light, even the Council couldn’t deny it.

Whatever this was — mistake or destiny — it was real.
