Chapter 7

Poornima was welcomed into the Singh Haveli with warmth and joy. The halls were decorated with flowers, the aroma of incense filling the air. She walked slowly, taking in the grandeur of her new home, her heart a mix of excitement and nervousness. With a deep breath, she stepped forward and lit the ceremonial lamp, her hands trembling slightly but steady with determination.

Veerendra looked at her kindly. “Poornima beta, do you want to stay in the Rathore Haveli to witness your son Anand’s marriage rituals?”

Poornima hesitated, unsure of what to say. Her mind raced, thinking about Anand and the rituals she had missed before.

Before she could answer, Veeresh spoke up. “Dad, why don’t we have both families together and celebrate it here? That way, everyone can be part of it.”

Veerendra and Pratap exchanged glances, their faces lighting up. “Good idea,” they said in unison.

“Then it’s settled,” Veerendra said with a smile. “Let’s move to the Rathore mansion.”

Pratap’s face glowed with happiness. “Thank you so much,” he said sincerely.

Veerendra waved his hand dismissively, a warm smile on his lips. “Don’t mention it. We are samdhan now… and friends.”

Both men stepped forward and hugged each other firmly, a bond of respect and unity now sealed. Poornima watched quietly, feeling a sense of hope and new beginnings as the two patriarchs embraced, knowing that the long feud had finally ended and both families were truly coming together.
