Veeresh and Poornima walked quietly into their room after all the laughter and blessings. The room still smelled faintly of sandalwood and fresh flowers from the wedding rituals. Everything felt new—unfamiliar yet peaceful.
Just then, a soft knock sounded on the door. Before either of them could respond, Kavya stepped inside with a bright smile.
“Dad…” she said, her eyes glimmering with happiness. “I’m so happy for you.”
She walked up and hugged Poornima tightly. “And you too, Mom,” she whispered. “You’re not just my mother-in-law now… you’re also my mother.”
Poornima’s eyes softened, a gentle smile spreading on her lips as she hugged Kavya back. “Thank you, beta,” she said softly, her heart warming at the girl’s words.
Veeresh stood beside them, watching with quiet pride. “Let’s take everything slow,” he said gently. “We’ll get used to this new beginning… and now, let’s just enjoy our children’s wedding.”
Poornima nodded slowly, her eyes glancing at him with quiet understanding. She didn’t speak, just gave a small, calm nod.
With hearts lighter and smiles returning, the three of them stepped out together, leaving for the Rathore mansion—where love, laughter, and new beginnings awaited in the celebration of Anand and Kavya’s wedding.
