The news spread across the town like a festival. “Veeresh Singh wins both elections!” The crowds cheered, drums echoed, and garlands flooded his car. But at that very moment, far from the noise and celebration, another victory of life was happening inside the hospital — the cry of newborn twins filled the air.
Poornima, tired yet glowing, smiled faintly as the nurse placed two tiny miracles in her arms — a boy and a girl. Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude as she whispered, “Mahadev, you blessed us more than we ever dreamed.”
When Veeresh entered the hospital room after the victory announcement, his hands still stained with the colors of the celebration, he froze at the sight — Poornima lying with their babies in her arms. His breath caught in his throat, and for the first time in years, his eyes softened into tears.
He walked closer, unable to speak. Poornima looked up, smiling weakly.
“Congratulations, Veeresh Singh,” she said softly. “You’ve won twice today — for the people and for us.”
Veeresh knelt beside her, gently taking the babies in his arms.
“My son… my daughter,” he whispered, voice trembling with pride.
He looked at the boy first — peaceful, yet strong. “Rudraksh,” he said, his voice firm. “The power and calm of Lord Shiva.”
Then his gaze turned to the little girl, sleeping with her tiny hand clutching Poornima’s saree. “And you… Mannat,” he said softly. “Because you’re the prayer that destiny answered.”
Poornima’s eyes shimmered as he kissed both their foreheads and then her hand.
Veerendra and Pratap entered, their faces lighting up.
“Two victories in one day,” Veerendra said proudly. “Our Veeresh truly lives up to his name.”
Veeresh turned to Poornima, his voice full of gratitude.
“You gave me the strength to win outside, and the reason to live inside,” he said. “Now my life has everything — faith, family, and you.”
Poornima smiled, whispering, “And three blessings to remind us every day.”
Veeresh sat beside her, holding his children close. Outside, the world celebrated his political triumph — but in that quiet hospital room, his heart celebrated the true victory of love, life, and destiny fulfilled.
