Poornima’s POV — Finally at Peace

Walking through the Raisinghania mansion, Poornima felt a warmth she hadn’t felt in a long time. The grandeur of the house didn’t matter—not the chandeliers, not the polished floors, not the endless rooms. What mattered was the acceptance she finally felt.

Her in-laws—Veeresh’s parents—welcomed her wholeheartedly. Sharada had blessed her with bangles, Raghuvan had given his silent nod of approval, and even Rayan’s smile carried a genuine sense of belonging. For the first time, she didn’t feel like an outsider, like a guest walking into someone else’s world. She felt like she was home.

Her parents’ rejection no longer haunted her. The pain that once weighed her heart was gone, replaced by a lightness she hadn’t imagined possible. She realized she didn’t need validation from them anymore because the person she loved, the person who mattered most—Veeresh—was by her side, every single moment.

And oh, how he was there.

His hand always found her waist, holding her just enough to make her feel safe, but never overbearing. His kisses—soft, deep, playful, possessive—reminded her constantly that she belonged to him and he belonged to her. No one else mattered. No one else could reach the quiet corners of her heart the way he did.

She smiled to herself, sitting beside him, feeling his presence like a shield around her. Happiness wasn’t loud. It was simple. It was warmth in his arms, it was shared laughter in the kitchen, it was the gentle squeeze of his hand on her waist, it was the quiet kisses they exchanged when no one was looking.

Poornima leaned into him, heart full, mind calm, and whispered softly in her head, I am finally where I belong. I am loved. I am his. And I love him, completely.

For the first time in a long time, she didn’t worry about the past, the betrayals, or the family she had lost. All she needed was here, with him, and she had everything.
