Chapter 46: Our Little Miracle
Poornima stood in the soft morning light, her hand resting gently on her growing belly. The moment she had been waiting for—the moment that would change their lives forever—was here. She took a deep breath and smiled, knowing she couldn’t keep this news from Veeresh any longer.
She found him in the study, reviewing papers, looking every bit the powerful, composed man he always was. But the moment she stepped in, holding his hand, his sharp gaze softened.
“Veeresh…” she whispered, voice trembling with joy.
He looked at her, curious, then caught the sparkle in her eyes.
“I… I’m pregnant,” she said, letting the words sink in.
Veeresh froze for a heartbeat, then his expression melted into pure awe and happiness. Before she could blink, he pulled her into his arms, kissing her forehead, then her cheeks, and finally, a soft, reverent kiss on her lips.
He lifted her pallu gently, revealing the tiny bump beneath her kurta, and pressed a tender kiss on her belly.
“I can’t wait to meet you, little one,” he whispered, his voice full of love and wonder. His hands rested protectively over her stomach, a promise of care and devotion.
Poornima laughed softly, tears of happiness glistening in her eyes. She felt him radiating warmth, strength, and an unspoken vow to protect their family.
Together, they called their families to share the news. Joy erupted from both sides—Veeresh’s parents embraced Poornima with love, Neha and Rivan’s hearts softened despite their earlier estrangement, and even Gayathri’s jealousy gave way to awe at the miracle of new life.
Veeresh held Poornima close, whispering promises only she could hear. “We’ll raise them with love. Our little one will know joy, safety… and everything I failed to give before, I’ll give now.”
Poornima rested her head on his shoulder, smiling through tears. In that moment, surrounded by love, hope, and the promise of a new beginning, she knew that their family, their love, and their future had just grown a little brighter.
The house was alive with happiness, but for Veeresh and Poornima, the real magic was the life they carried together—their little miracle.
