Chapter: Promises Kept in Silence

Veeresh didn’t waste time.

The moment he reached home, he sat across from Devraj, the weight of Delhi still clinging to him. He told his father everything—Vishwas Rathore, the promise, Poornima’s parents, PV Industries, the truth hidden for decades.

Devraj listened without interruption.

When Veeresh finished, there was silence.

Then Devraj smiled.

“I knew Vishwas wouldn’t trust his legacy to the wrong hands,” he said.
“And I’m glad fate brought her to you.”

Veeresh exhaled slowly.

“Merge PV Industries with VD Group,” Devraj said firmly.
“It will stay protected.”

Veeresh nodded.
“I’ll tell her everything,” he said.
“But only after the marriage. Until then—nothing.”

Devraj placed a hand on his son’s shoulder.

“You’re doing the right thing,” he said.
“Just make sure she never feels betrayed.”

That afternoon, Veeresh stopped by Mannat Inn.

The place felt alive—warm, familiar, hers.

Poornima was sitting at one of the corner tables, laughing softly with Yashwanth, Sirisha, and Neha. Her eyes lit up the moment she saw him.

Veeresh walked over and sat beside her naturally, as if that seat had always belonged to him.

“What’s the verdict?” she asked, tilting her head.
“How was Delhi?”

“Good,” he said simply, glancing at her before looking at the others.
“Productive.”

Lunch arrived, and the table filled with easy conversation—small jokes, shared memories, light teasing. Veeresh mostly listened, watching Poornima talk with her hands, smile without effort.

This—this was her world.

After lunch, as everyone slowly dispersed, Veeresh leaned closer.

“I’ll come to the penthouse tonight,” he said quietly.

Poornima nodded.
“Okay.”

He pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek—unhurried, possessive in the softest way.

“I’ll see you later,” he murmured.

She smiled.

Veeresh walked out of Mannat Inn and headed straight to VD Company, his expression calm, his steps steady—

Carrying secrets, promises, and a future that was already changing shape.
