Chapter 58
The Woman Who Stayed
Ridhima let out a hollow laugh. “All this confidence, Veeresh? Let’s see how long this ‘kincsem’ of yours stays.”
But this time, didn’t look triggered.
He looked amused.
“You’re talking about leaving?” he said calmly. “She didn’t. She chose to stay.”
His voice was steady, not loud — but every word landed.
“You left Inayat when she was ten days old. Ten days.”
“And today she has a mother who wakes up for her, teaches her kindness, gives her a normal childhood.”
He stepped slightly closer, not in anger — in clarity.
“She accepted me when I was broken. She didn’t ask for the powerful version. She didn’t ask for the rich version. She took the shattered one.”
For the first time, Ridhima had no reply.
“She respects relationships,” he continued. “That’s something you never understood.”
He gave a soft chuckle.
“I could list a hundred things about her… but I think you’ll miss the party. So go. Enjoy.”
Then he turned away from the past without hesitation.
He held Poornima’s hand — firm, proud.
“Come, kincsem.”
That word.
That belonging.
That certainty.
Ridhima stood there, smiling on the outside — but something inside her cracked.
She had expected jealousy.
She had expected insecurity.
Instead, she saw unity.
And that defeated her.
But ego never dies quietly.
In her mind, a new plan was forming.
If she couldn’t have him, she would try to break him.
Yet tonight…
Poornima’s heart was calm.
Not because she won.
But because he chose her.
Openly.
Fearlessly.
Without hesitation.
She didn’t feel threatened anymore.
She felt claimed.
And loved.
One line:
Usne duniya ke saamne haath thaama… aur us pal uska dil sach mein jeet gaya.
