Chapter 40 – Shameless, But Mine
The afternoon sun streamed softly through the penthouse windows as Gayathri lay sprawled on the couch, exhausted from their session. Her eyelids drooped, and within minutes, she had drifted off, her breaths even and soft.
Ravi quietly moved to the kitchen, humming under his breath as he prepared lunch. The aroma soon filled the space, a comforting warmth in the otherwise quiet apartment. Carefully, he carried the tray to where she slept.
“Here,” he whispered, setting it beside her.
She stirred, blinking sleepily, and immediately shot him a glare. “You beast… can’t you be slow? My legs are paining!”
Ravi crouched down beside her, a small grin tugging at his lips. “I couldn’t control myself, Gayu… and besides, you were moaning my name. It was… beautiful.”
Gayathri’s eyes widened in shock. Then she pinched his arm playfully. “Ravi!”
He chuckled, undeterred, picking up a spoon and feeding her a bite of the warm lunch. “Eat first, madam. Complaining later.”
By evening, they were back at the mansion. Inayat ran up to her mother, tilting her head. “Mumma… why are you walking funny?”
Gayathri flushed lightly, and Ravi smirked from behind her.
Poornima leaned down to Rivan, Rudra, and Aradhya. “Looks like you all might get a baby sister… or brother,” she said teasingly.
Gayathri’s cheeks flushed further, and before she could respond, Ravi scooped her up effortlessly. “Nobody teases my wife,” he said firmly, carrying her toward their room.
“Shameless pervert husband,” she said, laughing and wriggling in his arms.
Ravi smiled down at her, leaning in to press a gentle, teasing peck on her lips. “Mine,” he whispered softly.
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smile, holding onto him as they entered the room, laughter and warmth wrapping them in a private little world of love, teasing, and quiet intimacy.
