Chapter 44 – Girl Dad, Boy Complaints

The mansion was filled with the gentle chaos of four little children running around, their laughter echoing through the halls. Gayathri was in the nursery, tucking Mannat and Shoura into their cribs, when Rivan and Inayat appeared at the door, arms crossed and frowns on their faces.

“Mumma!” Rivan exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger. “Appa loves Mannat more! He’s always picking her up, holding her hand, and even taught her to wave before us!”

Inayat chimed in, her tiny brows furrowed. “Yeah! And Shoura too! He’s always smiling at them and never does this with us!”

Gayathri knelt down to their level, her face softening into a gentle smile. “Oh, my loves… Ravi loves all of you equally. Just because he’s holding Mannat or Shoura now doesn’t mean he loves you any less. He’s your papa, and his heart has room for everyone.”

“But mumma,” Rivan pouted, “I want Appa to hold me like that too. Why only the babies?”

Just then, Ravi walked in, wiping his hands after feeding Shoura a bottle. “What’s all this noise?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as he spotted his older children glaring at him.

“Appa!” Rivan started, pointing to Mannat and Shoura. “You love them more! You hold them, you kiss them, you play with them!”

Ravi crouched down to their level, a smile tugging at his lips. “I do?” he asked, pretending to be clueless. “Hmm… maybe I am a ‘girl dad’ for Mannat and a ‘boy dad’ for Shoura?”

Inayat giggled, but Rivan crossed his arms more firmly. “We want equal love, Appa! Not just for them!”

Ravi laughed softly, reaching out to ruffle Rivan’s hair. “Okay, okay, I hear you. How about this—I’ll hold all of you, play with all of you, and love all of you just as much as Mannat and Shoura. Deal?”

Gayathri smiled, squeezing his hand lightly. “See, kids? Appa loves everyone. That’s why we have such a big, happy family.”

Rivan and Inayat’s faces lit up, their complaints fading as Ravi scooped them both into his arms, lifting them high. “There,” he said, grinning. “Equal hugs for everyone!”

Gayathri watched them, her heart full, as Ravi carried the four children around the room in a whirl of laughter, kisses, and playful chaos.

She whispered softly to herself, watching him with a mix of admiration and love: He truly loves them all equally. My kids are so blessed… and so am I.

The mansion was alive with joy, a symphony of little voices and giggles, and Ravi’s arms held the most important treasures of his life—his children, his family, and the love that bound them all together.
