Veeresh looked at her for a moment before saying, “I am hurt.”
Poornima frowned slightly and asked, “Why?”

He stepped closer, his eyes fixed on her. “Because you smile and talk so easily with others… but with me?” he paused, watching her reaction, “only gadha?”

She rolled her eyes immediately. “Don’t be jealous.”

“I am,” he said without hesitation, and that made her pause for a second before she muttered, “You’re impossible,” trying to move past him, but he caught her hand and pulled her toward him. “Come.”

She didn’t resist this time and walked with him into his cabin, her eyes moving around as she observed the place before saying casually, “Your cabin is better than your penthouse.”

He looked at her instead of the room. “Because you’re here.”

She gave him a look. “Stop it.”

His expression turned serious. “Poornima.”
She turned toward him.

“I’m going to take you to meet my family.”

She stayed silent, watching him, and then he added, his grip tightening slightly around her hand, “Don’t leave my hand.”

She frowned immediately. “Again this? Why would I leave you?”

He didn’t answer.

She looked at him properly this time. “Veer… don’t lie to me,” she said quietly. “Don’t break my heart. That’s all.”

For a moment, he just stared at her, then suddenly pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly before pressing a firm kiss on her forehead. “I won’t,” he said.

He pulled back slightly but didn’t let go. “I’ll make you meet my sister’s baby.”

Poornima looked at him for a second and then gave a small smile. “Okay.
