Chapter 30: A New Beginning

Days passed, but Veeresh wasn’t quiet anymore.

He had listened.

He had understood.

And now… he acted.

Without telling her everything, without disturbing her peace, he started gathering proof.

Messages.

Records.

Everything that showed who Pavan really was.

He didn’t rush.

He didn’t lose focus.

He did it patiently.

Carefully.

One evening, he walked in, his expression calm but firm.

“Noor…”

She looked up at him. “Hmm?”

“It’s done,” he said simply.

She frowned slightly. “What?”

He stepped closer. “I submitted everything… all the proof against him.”

Her breath paused.

“And?” she asked softly.

“He’s arrested.”

Silence.

For a second, she didn’t react.

Then slowly…

A smile appeared.

Not loud.

Not dramatic.

But real.

A weight she had carried for so long…

Gone.

She walked to him and hugged him tightly.

“Thank you…” she whispered.

He didn’t say anything.

He just held her.

After a moment, she pulled back slightly, her eyes softer than ever.

“Veer…”

He looked at her. “Hmm?”

She hesitated for a second… then said it.

“I’m pregnant.”

Everything stilled.

For the first time… Veeresh didn’t have an immediate response.

He just looked at her.

Then slowly, a smile spread across his face.

“My Noor…” he whispered.

He pulled her into him again, tighter this time, his hand instinctively moving to her head.

“Don’t worry about anything,” he said, his voice filled with quiet assurance. “I’ll manage.”

She smiled against him.

There was no fear in her this time.

Only trust.

Days became fuller after that.

Veeresh balanced everything.

His CA exam preparation.

His studies, hours locked in focus.

And her.

Always her.

Making sure she ate.

Making sure she rested.

Taking her to the hospital.

Listening.

Holding.

Not once did he make her feel like she was too much.

Not once did he step back.
