Epilogue: Veeresh ka Noor

Years passed, but some things never changed.

The house was no longer quiet.

Laughter echoed through every corner, tiny footsteps running across the floor, voices calling out—

“Appa!”

“Amma!”

Veeresh walked in one evening, tired from work, files still in his hand, but the moment the door opened, two small figures ran toward him.

“Appa!”

He dropped everything.

“Arre… slowly,” he laughed, bending down and lifting both of them, one in each arm.

“My babies…”

From the kitchen, Poornima stood watching, a soft smile on her lips, her saree pallu tucked neatly as she wiped her hands.

“Don’t spoil them too much,” she said, walking toward them.

Veeresh looked at her.

That same look.

Unchanged.

“My Noor…” he murmured.

Even after all these years.

She rolled her eyes slightly, but her smile gave her away.

“Put them down, let them eat first.”

He did, but not before kissing both their cheeks.

Then his eyes went back to her.

Always her.

Later that night, after putting the kids to sleep, the house finally quiet again, Veeresh walked into the room and saw her sitting by the window.

He didn’t say anything.

He just walked up and stood behind her, his hands wrapping around her waist, pulling her gently back against him.

She leaned into him instantly.

“Kids slept?” he asked softly.

“Hmm.”

Silence.

Comfortable.

Familiar.

“Remember…” he said after a moment, “…you asked to live separately?”

She smiled faintly. “Hmm.”

He turned her slightly to face him.

“I said no.”

She looked at him. “You never listen.”

He smirked. “Only for you.”

She shook her head, but her hand rested on his chest.

“Good you didn’t,” she admitted quietly.

He leaned closer, his forehead touching hers.

“You’re still mine,” he whispered.

She didn’t move away.

“Veeresh ka Noor,” she said softly.

His smile deepened.

Some things didn’t change.

Not the way he held her.

Not the way he called her.

Not the way she felt in his arms.

Because in the end…

She didn’t just find love again.

She found herself.

And him.

Right where she belonged.
