Chapter 32: A Quiet Morning Routine

Poornima woke up early in the morning.

She freshened up and got ready, then got the kids ready as well.

She neatly kept Veeresh’s suit ready for him.

She walked to him and gently woke him up.

Veeresh opened his eyes and asked, “Kids?”

Poornima replied softly, “They are already awake.”

She handed him his tea.

“Thank you,” he said.

Veeresh took it and then asked about Aryan’s school.

Poornima hesitated for a moment, unsure how to answer.

Veeresh looked at her and said, “Answer.”

She nodded and said, “He has given entrance test in Kendriya Vidyalaya and we are waiting for the result.”

Veeresh asked, “Why that school?”

Poornima looked at him and replied, “Because Mohammed studied there. He always told me that his life started from that school.”

She paused slightly and continued, “So I filled the form for Aryan.”

Veeresh listened quietly and then said, “Alright.”

Poornima gave a small smile.

“He is very introverted,” she said. “I am worried if he will be able to make friends.”

Veeresh replied calmly, “He will. Don’t worry.”

Poornima nodded. “Okay.”

She looked at him and said, “Get freshen up and come downstairs.”

Veeresh nodded. “Okay.”

She went downstairs.

Aryan was already having breakfast.

Mannat had been fed and was sitting happily.

Poornima said, “Ammi, I kept milk in the fridge. Anything you need, just call me. Please don’t hesitate.”

Yashoda smiled warmly at her words.

Veeresh came down after getting ready and had his breakfast.

He spoke a little with Aryan and Mannat.

The house felt calm.

Later, Rajeev and Yashoda said, “Beta, tomorrow is Saturday. We will go to Kuldevi mandir and also visit your parents.”

Veeresh nodded. “Okay.”

Poornima also agreed quietly.

After some time, Veeresh dropped Poornima at the college.

She stepped out and said, “Thanks. Bye.”

Veeresh replied, “Bye.”
