Chapter 54: The Beginning of More Love

The wait finally ended.

The long months.

The careful days.

The silent prayers.

All of it led to this moment.

The hospital room was filled with tension, hope, and quiet anticipation. Veeresh stood outside for a moment before being called in, his hands slightly trembling, something that rarely happened to him.

And then he saw them.

Poornima lay there, tired but glowing, her eyes soft.

Beside her…

Two tiny lives.

A girl.

And a boy.

For a second, Veeresh just stood there.

Unable to move.

Unable to speak.

Then slowly, he walked closer.

His eyes did not leave them.

“They are ours…” he whispered, almost to himself.

Poornima looked at him and smiled, her eyes filled with warmth.

“Yes.”

Veeresh sat beside her, his hand gently holding hers.

“Love you,” he said softly.

Poornima smiled again.

“Love you too.”

There was no need for more words.

Everything was already felt.

Outside, the family waited eagerly.

When the news reached them, happiness spread instantly.

Yashoda’s eyes filled with tears.

Rajeev smiled proudly.

Syed and Ayesha thanked God quietly.

“A girl and a boy,” someone said.

“Perfect,” Rajeev added.

Aryan and Mannat stood near the door, curious and excited.

“Can we see?” Aryan asked.

When they were finally allowed inside, both of them walked slowly toward the bed.

Mannat’s eyes widened.

“So small…” she whispered.

Aryan smiled softly.

“They are cute,” he said.

Poornima looked at them.

“Come,” she said gently.

They moved closer.

Carefully.

As if afraid to disturb them.

Mannat touched the baby girl’s tiny hand.

“She is my sister,” she said proudly.

Aryan looked at the baby boy.

“And he is my brother.”

Veeresh watched all of them together.

His family.

Complete.

More than complete.

After some time, they sat together and decided the names.

“Reyansh,” Veeresh said, looking at the baby boy.

“And Aradhya,” Poornima added, her eyes on the baby girl.

The names felt right.

The family smiled.

Everyone agreed.

Mannat repeated softly, “Aradhya…”

Aryan said, “Reyansh…”

Both smiling like they had received something precious.

Poornima held her babies gently.

Veeresh sat beside her, his hand resting protectively around her.

And in that quiet hospital room,

Filled with soft breaths and tiny movements,

A family that had once struggled to stay together

Now stood stronger.

Larger.

Happier.

Because love did not just bring them back.

It gave them more.
