Time did not just pass.
It transformed everything.
The house that once held silence now echoed with achievements, laughter, and memories layered over years of love.
Aryan stood tall in his uniform.
A fighter pilot.
Exactly what he had once whispered as a small boy, holding colors in his hand.
Veeresh looked at him, his chest filled with pride.
“Our first child,” he said softly, glancing at Poornima, “he did what he wanted.”
Poornima smiled, her eyes never leaving Aryan.
“That shy kid…” she said, her voice warm, “became this strong.”
There was pride.
There was emotion.
There was fulfillment.
Mannat walked in next.
Still their shona.
But now…
An IAS officer.
Confident.
Graceful.
Powerful in her own way.
Veeresh shook his head in disbelief, smiling.
“Mumma ka shona is ruling the country.”
Poornima immediately corrected him, smiling playfully.
“Our shona.”
Mannat rolled her eyes, but her smile gave her away.
Behind them, the twins walked in.
Reyansh and Aradhya.
Still in school.
Still noisy.
Still full of life.
“The two notorious ones are finally finishing school,” Poornima said, laughing softly.
“They are not that bad,” Veeresh replied.
“They are exactly like you,” she said.
He paused.
Then nodded.
“Then they are perfect.”
They both laughed.
Just then, Aryan walked in again, more relaxed now.
“Abbu…”
Veeresh turned toward him.
“Hmm?”
“I have a match tomorrow.”
Veeresh smiled instantly.
“We will all come.”
“Everyone,” Poornima added.
Mannat nodded.
“Of course.”
Reyansh and Aradhya spoke together.
“We are coming too.”
Aryan smiled.
That same boy.
Still there.
Just grown.
The house felt alive.
Complete.
Every corner held something meaningful.
Every person, a piece of their journey.
Later that evening, when the noise settled and the house grew quiet, Veeresh stood beside Poornima on the balcony.
The same place where many moments had begun.
He looked at her.
Not as someone he was forced to marry.
But as someone he chose.
Every day.
“Poornima…” he said softly.
She turned toward him.
“One more life with me?”
There was no hesitation in his voice.
Only truth.
Poornima smiled.
A deep, knowing smile.
“Always, gadha.”
Veeresh laughed softly.
Then pulled her closer.
And kissed her.
Not rushed.
Not intense.
Just… full.
A kiss that carried years of love, fights, healing, growth, and everything in between.
And as they stood there,
Looking at the life they had built,
They did not wish for anything more.
Because if given another life,
They knew one thing for certain.
They would find each other again.
