Chapter 2 – Waiting for Poornima

Veeresh looked around the hall.

Veeresh: "Where is Rudra?"

Aradhya smiled.

Aradhya: "Papa, he went to pick up Mom. She was in London for RBI work, and she's coming home today."

Just then, Poornima's parents, Raghav Rao and Meera Rao, came into the hall with warm smiles.

Raghav: "Welcome home, Veeresh. Rajendra ji, Ritika ji... it's good to see all of you again."

Meera: "Please come inside. We are happy you all are here."

Rajendra and Ritika greeted them politely, and everyone settled into the living room.

A few minutes later, the front door opened.

Rudra walked in carrying his backpack.

He smiled when he saw everyone.

Rudra: "Hi, Dad! Hi, Dadu! Hi, Dadi!"

Rajendra hugged his grandson, while Ritika lovingly held his face.

Ritika: "Rudy, where's your mom?"

Rudra smiled.

Rudra: "Dadi, Mom went to the RBI office after landing. She had some work to finish. She'll be back by evening."

Veeresh remained silent, hearing Poornima's name after so many years. The house was lively with conversations, but somewhere in his heart, he wondered what it would feel like to see her again after all this time.
