Chapter 21 – Shopping Done
By evening, the front door opened.
Everyone returned from wedding shopping carrying dozens of bags.
Aradhya: "Mom! Dad! We're back!"
Rudra walked in behind her with several shopping bags.
Rudra: "My hands are gone carrying all these."
Richard laughed.
Richard: "You volunteered."
Ritika smiled as she placed the bags on the sofa.
Ritika: "The shopping is finally done."
Rajendra stretched his back.
Rajendra: "Thank God. I don't think I can visit another jewellery or clothing store this week."
Everyone laughed.
Meera looked around.
Meera: "Where are Poornima and Veeresh?"
Just then, both of them came downstairs.
Poornima was carrying an empty tea tray, while Veeresh walked beside her.
They looked much calmer than they had in the morning.
Aradhya noticed immediately.
She exchanged a smile with Rudra.
Aradhya (whispering): "They're not fighting."
Rudra: "That's a miracle."
Richard chuckled quietly.
Poornima looked at the shopping bags.
Poornima: "Looks like you all bought the entire market."
Ritika: "Almost."
Raghav laughed.
Raghav: "The wedding shopping is officially over."
Aradhya clapped happily.
Aradhya: "Everything's ready now!"
The house filled with excitement as everyone unpacked clothes, jewellery, gifts, and decorations.
Amid the laughter and wedding preparations, Veeresh and Poornima occasionally looked at each other.
This time, there was no anger in their eyes.
Only a silent understanding that something between them had finally begun to heal.
