Chapter 48 – The Announcement

The church ceremony had concluded beautifully.

Guests gathered in the reception hall, congratulating Richard and Aradhya. Laughter, music, and conversations filled the atmosphere.

Veeresh stood beside Poornima.

He gently held her hand.

She looked at him nervously.

Poornima: "Veer..."

He smiled reassuringly.

Veeresh: "Poons..."

He squeezed her hand.

Veeresh: "Time to disclose the matter."

She looked at him anxiously.

Poornima: "Veer..."

He nodded confidently.

Veeresh: "I'm with you."

He led her to the center of the hall.

Everyone gradually became quiet.

Richard, Aradhya, Rudra, Adwait, Thoshini, Rajendra, Ritika, Richard's parents, relatives, and guests all looked towards them.

Veeresh smiled.

Veeresh: "May I have everyone's attention, please?"

The conversations stopped.

He looked at Aradhya first.

Veeresh: "Today is one of the happiest days of our lives."

He smiled proudly at his daughter.

Veeresh: "Our daughter has begun a beautiful new journey."

Aradhya smiled warmly.

Veeresh then looked at Poornima, who was standing beside him, holding his hand tightly.

He smiled reassuringly at her before looking back at everyone.

Veeresh: "Poons and I have something to share with all of you."

The hall became completely silent.

Veeresh took a deep breath.

His smile widened.

Veeresh: "We both are expecting."

For a moment...

Nobody reacted.

Then he completed the sentence.

Veeresh: "Poons is pregnant."

Silence filled the hall.

Poornima lowered her eyes nervously, waiting for everyone's reaction.

Veeresh never let go of her hand.

He stood proudly beside his wife, ready to face whatever came next.
