Chapter 52 – Three Times the Fun

The moment Veeresh and Poornima returned home, everyone noticed the expressions on their faces.

Poornima looked completely stunned.

Veeresh looked as though he was still trying to process what the doctor had said.

Rudra immediately walked over.

Rudra: "Dad... what happened?"

Aradhya looked worried.

Aradhya: "Mom, is everything okay?"

Veeresh looked at Poornima.

She smiled nervously.

He nodded at her, silently asking if he could tell them.

She gave a small nod.

Veeresh took a deep breath.

Veeresh: "We had the scan today."

Everyone waited.

Then he smiled.

Veeresh: "The doctor said... we're not having one baby."

The family looked at one another.

Ritika: "Twins?"

Veeresh slowly shook his head.

A smile spread across his face.

Veeresh: "Triplets."

The room went completely silent.

Then—

"WHAT?"

Everyone shouted together.

Rudra almost dropped the glass in his hand.

Rudra: "Triplets?"

Aradhya covered her mouth.

Aradhya: "Mom!"

Richard started laughing.

Adwait stared at his father.

Adwait: "Dad..."

He burst into laughter.

Adwait: "You really don't do anything halfway."

The entire room erupted with laughter.

Thoshini clapped excitedly.

Thoshini: "Three babies!"

She ran to hug Poornima carefully.

Thoshini: "Mumma, congratulations!"

Ritika walked to Poornima with tears of happiness.

She hugged her daughter-in-law gently.

Ritika: "May God bless all three babies."

Rajendra laughed heartily and looked at his son.

Rajendra: "Veeresh..."

He shook his head with a smile.

Rajendra: "You always liked doing everything in threes?"

Everyone laughed again.

Rudra folded his arms dramatically.

He looked at Veeresh.

Rudra: "Dad..."

He sighed.

Rudra: "One baby wasn't enough?"

Veeresh laughed.

Veeresh: "Don't look at me."

Rudra immediately replied,

Rudra: "Who else should I look at?"

The room filled with laughter.

Aradhya smiled mischievously.

Aradhya: "Papa..."

Aradhya: "The doctor probably saw your name and said, 'Let's make his retirement interesting.'"

Even Poornima laughed.

Richard joined in.

Richard: "Dad, congratulations."

He grinned.

Richard: "Looks like you'll be buying three cribs, three strollers, and changing three sets of diapers."

Adwait pretended to calculate on his phone.

Adwait: "Dad..."

He looked up dramatically.

Adwait: "Triple school fees."

Rudra: "Triple toys."

Thoshini: "Triple birthday cakes."

Aradhya: "Triple sleepless nights."

Everyone spoke one after another.

Veeresh simply listened with a smile.

Then he looked at Poornima.

She was laughing for the first time since the scan.

Seeing her smile made every tease worthwhile.

Rudra wasn't done yet.

He walked over and put an arm around his father.

Rudra: "Dad..."

Veeresh: "Hmm?"

Rudra: "At this rate..."

He tried to keep a straight face.

Rudra: "...people will think you and Mom are competing with us."

Everyone burst into another round of laughter.

Veeresh laughed too.

Then, with complete confidence, he shrugged.

Veeresh: "What can I say?"

He looked proudly at Poornima.

Veeresh: "Your mother is still the most beautiful woman in the world."

Poornima immediately blushed.

Poornima: "Veer!"

The children groaned in unison.

Rudra: "There he goes again."

Adwait: "Dad never misses a chance."

Aradhya: "Even after all these years."

Veeresh walked over to Poornima and gently held her hand.

He smiled at the entire family.

Veeresh: "You all can tease me as much as you want."

Then he looked at Poornima's growing baby bump and smiled with quiet pride.

Veeresh: "But if God has trusted us with three more little lives..."

He gently rested his hand over hers.

Veeresh: "...we'll welcome all three with love."

The room fell silent for a moment.

Then the entire family surrounded Veeresh and Poornima in a warm group hug, their laughter giving way to happy tears as they celebrated the newest—and most unexpected—addition to the Rajawat family.
