Chapter 59 – The Naming Ceremony
Forty days after the babies were born, the Rajawat family gathered for the traditional naming ceremony.
The house was beautifully decorated with fresh marigolds, jasmine garlands, and colorful rangolis at the entrance.
The four babies were dressed in soft silk outfits and slept peacefully in their decorated cradles.
Relatives and close friends arrived to bless the newest members of the family.
A priest performed the puja, chanting Vedic mantras and praying for the babies' health, happiness, and long lives.
After the havan was completed, the priest smiled.
Priest: "Now it is time to announce the names."
Everyone gathered around.
Veeresh and Poornima sat together, each holding two babies.
The priest smiled.
Priest: "Who will announce the names?"
Veeresh looked at Poornima.
She smiled.
Poornima: "Together."
He nodded.
They looked at their family.
Veeresh gently lifted the first baby boy.
He kissed his forehead.
Veeresh: "His name is..."
He looked at Poornima.
Together they said,
Veeresh & Poornima: "Aarav Rajawat."
Everyone clapped.
Poornima then carried the second baby boy.
She smiled lovingly.
Poornima: "Our second son will be called..."
She looked at Veeresh.
Together they announced,
Veeresh & Poornima: "Advik Rajawat."
The family applauded once again.
Next came the first baby girl.
Veeresh gently placed a tiny kiss on her forehead.
Veeresh: "Our little princess..."
Together they smiled.
Veeresh & Poornima: "Anika Rajawat."
Ritika's eyes filled with happy tears.
Finally, Poornima lifted the youngest baby girl.
She looked at her tiny face with a smile.
Together they announced,
Veeresh & Poornima: "Aadhya Rajawat."
The house echoed with applause and blessings.
The priest whispered each baby's name into their right ear as part of the traditional ritual and blessed them.
The grandparents showered the babies with flowers and blessed them with long, healthy, and happy lives.
Ritika hugged Poornima.
Ritika: "Beautiful names."
Rajendra smiled proudly.
Rajendra: "Welcome to the Rajawat family, little ones."
Rudra looked at all four babies and laughed.
Rudra: "Dad..."
Veeresh: "Hmm?"
Rudra: "I'm going to need a notebook just to remember everyone's names."
Everyone laughed.
Aradhya smiled.
Aradhya: "Our family just became even more beautiful."
Richard nodded.
Richard: "And much louder."
Adwait grinned.
Adwait: "Wait until all four start running around together."
Thoshini laughed.
Thoshini: "Poor Dad."
Veeresh folded his arms proudly.
Veeresh: "I can handle it."
Poornima looked at him with a teasing smile.
Poornima: "Let's see."
The family laughed together as the four babies slept peacefully, unaware that they had just received the names they would carry for the rest of their lives, surrounded by the love and blessings of their entire family.
