Chapter 60 – Full-Time Dad

Months passed, and the Rajawat house was now filled with the laughter and cries of four little babies.

As promised, Aradhya and Richard visited every weekend.

The moment they entered the house, Aradhya would run straight to the nursery.

Aradhya: "My babies!"

She kissed all four little foreheads while Richard happily carried one of the babies.

Veeresh smiled.

Veeresh: "Good, you've come. Your siblings have been waiting."

After retiring, Veeresh had become a full-time father.

He changed diapers.

Prepared milk bottles.

Rocked the babies to sleep.

Walked around the house carrying one baby on each shoulder while humming lullabies.

Everyone laughed seeing the once-strict businessman happily becoming a stay-at-home dad.

One afternoon...

Poornima was sitting on the sofa.

The two baby boys, Aarav and Advik, refused to leave her.

One lay asleep on her chest while the other clung to her shoulder, holding her saree tightly.

Poornima smiled lovingly.

Poornima: "My little princes..."

Just then Veeresh entered carrying a bottle.

He stopped.

He looked at the scene.

Then folded his arms.

He frowned.

Poornima looked up.

Poornima: "What?"

Veeresh walked closer.

He looked at the boys.

Then at Poornima.

Then back at the boys.

Veeresh: "I don't like this."

Poornima blinked.

Poornima: "What happened?"

He pointed dramatically.

Veeresh: "Look at them."

Poornima: "They're babies."

Veeresh: "Exactly."

He sighed dramatically.

Veeresh: "Both of them are always sticking to you."

Poornima laughed.

Poornima: "Because I'm their mother."

Veeresh pouted.

Veeresh: "I'm jealous."

Poornima burst into laughter.

Poornima: "You're jealous..."

She looked at the sleeping babies.

Poornima: "...of your own sons?"

He nodded seriously.

Veeresh: "Yes."

She couldn't stop laughing.

Just then, the two baby girls, Anika and Aadhya, were happily playing on the play mat with colorful toys.

Veeresh immediately sat down beside them.

Veeresh: "See?"

He smiled proudly.

Veeresh: "My princesses love me."

Anika giggled and grabbed his finger.

Aadhya laughed and reached for his beard.

Veeresh smiled proudly.

Veeresh: "See, Poons? Daddy's girls."

Poornima shook her head.

Poornima: "And those two..."

She kissed Aarav and Advik gently.

Poornima: "...are mummy's boys."

Veeresh sighed dramatically.

Veeresh: "Unfair."

At that moment, Rudra and Adwait walked in.

They saw Veeresh sitting with the girls while staring at the boys.

Rudra: "Dad..."

Veeresh: "Hmm?"

Rudra: "Are you seriously jealous of six-month-old babies?"

Veeresh answered without hesitation.

Veeresh: "Yes."

Adwait burst into laughter.

Adwait: "Papa, you're competing with infants!"

Richard, who had just entered with Aradhya, started laughing too.

Richard: "Dad, I never thought I'd see this."

Aradhya smiled.

She looked at her father.

Aradhya: "Papa..."

Aradhya: "Don't worry."

She picked up little Anika and placed her gently in Veeresh's lap.

Aradhya: "You've got two daughters completely wrapped around your finger."

Veeresh looked at the girls and smiled.

Then he glanced at Poornima.

The boys were still peacefully sleeping against her.

He sighed dramatically once more.

Veeresh: "Fine."

He smiled.

Veeresh: "The boys can have their mum."

He hugged Anika and Aadhya close.

Veeresh: "Because my princesses belong to me."

Poornima smiled warmly at the sight.

Looking at her husband happily surrounded by their daughters, while their sons slept peacefully in her arms, she realized that this noisy, love-filled home was exactly what they had always dreamed of.
