Chapter 55: A Day at the Fair

The annual Rajgarh village fair was filled with life.

Colorful stalls lined both sides of the road.

Children ran around with balloons in their hands, vendors called out to customers, and the aroma of hot pakoras, jalebis, and roasted corn filled the air.

Yash and Aarav walked through the fair with Ayat and Aarhan.

Aarhan looked around with wide eyes.

Aarhan: "Bhaiya... it's so big!"

Aarav laughed.

Aarav: "Wait till you see everything."

Ayat smiled excitedly.

Ayat: "Can we go on the giant wheel?"

Aarav looked at Yash.

Aarav: "Bhaiya?"

Yash smiled slightly.

Yash: "Let's go."

The four of them stood in line and soon climbed into one of the giant wheel cabins.

As it slowly rose into the sky, Ayat squealed with excitement.

Ayat: "Look! We can see the whole palace!"

Aarhan held Yash's hand tightly at first.

Yash noticed.

He gently squeezed his little brother's hand.

Yash: "Don't worry."

He smiled reassuringly.

Yash: "I'm here."

Aarhan slowly relaxed.

By the second round, he was smiling.

By the third, he was laughing loudly.

After getting down, Aarav smiled.

Aarav: "Now who's scared?"

Aarhan laughed.

Aarhan: "Not me!"

The brothers laughed together.

They walked to another stall where children were popping balloons with toy darts.

Aarav handed the darts to Ayat.

Aarav: "Let's see your aim."

Ayat carefully aimed...

Pop!

One balloon burst.

Ayat: "I did it!"

The stall owner handed her a small teddy bear.

She hugged it happily.

Next was Aarhan's turn.

He hesitated.

Yash knelt beside him.

Yash: "Take your time."

Aarhan nodded.

He aimed carefully.

Pop!

Another balloon burst.

His face lit up.

Aarhan: "Bhaiya! I got one!"

Yash smiled proudly.

Yash: "Well done."

The stall owner gave Aarhan a toy car.

He held it close to his chest with a huge smile.

Later, they bought colourful balloons, candy floss, roasted corn, and kulfi.

Aarav insisted everyone try the fresh sugarcane juice.

Ayat laughed as her cotton candy stuck to her nose.

Aarhan laughed so hard that even Yash couldn't stop smiling.

As evening approached, the fair lights began to glow.

Music played in the background.

The four siblings sat together watching a puppet show.

Aarhan quietly leaned against Yash's shoulder.

Yash looked down at him.

Without saying anything, he gently put an arm around the little boy.

Aarav noticed the moment and smiled.

When the show ended, Ayat held both her brothers' hands.

Ayat: "Can we come again next year?"

Aarav grinned.

Aarav: "Of course."

Yash nodded.

Yash: "We'll all come together."

Aarhan smiled brightly.

Aarhan: "With Ammi and Abbu too?"

Yash looked at Aarav.

Then back at Aarhan.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Yash: "Yes."

Yash: "With the whole family."

Hearing those words, Aarhan's smile grew even wider.

As the four of them walked back through the brightly lit fair, carrying toys and balloons, they no longer looked like children from different families.

They looked exactly like what they had slowly become—

Four siblings making memories together.
