Chapter 64: A Playful Moment
Poornima was standing in the hallway when she saw Veeresh and Aadhya come out of the room together.
Aadhya had a bright smile on her face.
Veeresh looked lighter too.
Father and daughter exchanged one last smile before Aadhya went to her room.
Poornima watched them from a distance.
A gentle smile spread across her face.
"They're talking now..." she thought.
"One day... Yash and Aarav will also open their hearts completely."
She silently thanked God for the little changes happening in the family.
Veeresh walked towards her.
He noticed the smile on her face.
Veeresh: "What are you smiling about?"
Poornima: "Nothing."
She tried to hide her smile.
Poornima: "I'm just happy."
Veeresh smiled knowingly.
The two of them started walking towards their room.
As soon as they entered and closed the door, Veeresh looked at her mischievously.
Before she could react...
He gently pinched her waist.
Poornima: "Ah!"
She immediately turned around and lightly hit his arm.
Poornima: "Behave!"
Veeresh burst into laughter.
She rubbed her waist dramatically.
Poornima: "Look!"
She pointed at the spot.
Poornima: "See how red it has become."
Veeresh stepped closer with an amused smile.
Veeresh: "Get used to it."
Poornima's eyes widened.
She folded her arms.
Poornima: "Excuse me?"
He laughed again.
Veeresh: "You're my wife."
He teased,
Veeresh: "You'll have to get used to my teasing."
Poornima tried to look annoyed, but a smile escaped.
She shook her head.
Poornima: "You're impossible."
Veeresh grinned.
Veeresh: "And yet..."
He looked into her eyes.
Veeresh: "...you still smiled."
She rolled her eyes playfully.
Poornima: "Don't be so confident."
Veeresh chuckled.
Veeresh: "Too late."
Poornima laughed despite herself.
The room echoed with their laughter.
The walls that had once been filled with awkward silence were now slowly being replaced with teasing, smiles, and little moments that neither of them had expected when this marriage had begun.
