Chapter 45 — Choosing the Land

Poornima turned the laptop toward Veeresh again.

She opened another folder.

Poornima: "These are the lands I have seen over the year."

Veeresh looked at the screen.

There were several properties listed in the folder, each with photographs, locations, sizes, prices, and notes that Poornima had personally written.

She had clearly researched each one carefully.

Veeresh: "You've been looking at these for an entire year?"

Poornima nodded.

Poornima: "Yes. Whenever I had time, I would look at properties."

She opened the first option.

Poornima: "This one is in a good location. It's close to the main road, so there will be good visibility."

She moved to the next property.

Poornima: "This one is bigger, and there is enough parking space. But it's more expensive."

She opened another file.

Poornima: "This one is cheaper, but it's a little away from the main road."

Veeresh leaned closer to the screen.

Poornima continued explaining each property.

She had noted the land size, approximate cost, parking possibilities, surrounding businesses, accessibility, and even how many customers she thought could visit the restaurant.

After showing him everything, she turned toward him.

Poornima: "I don't know which one to choose."

Veeresh looked at her.

Poornima: "Help me."

He smiled slightly.

Veeresh: "You want my opinion?"

Poornima: "Yes."

She pointed toward the screen.

Poornima: "Which one do you think is best?"

Veeresh studied the options again.

Veeresh: "Before choosing, we should check the title documents, zoning, permissions, road access, parking, water and electricity availability, and whether there are any legal issues with the property."

Poornima nodded.

Poornima: "I know. That's why I wanted you to look at them."

Veeresh looked impressed.

Veeresh: "You've done your homework."

Poornima smiled proudly.

Poornima: "I told you. I'm serious about my restaurant."

Veeresh pointed toward one of the properties.

Veeresh: "This one looks promising from what you've shown me."

Poornima immediately leaned closer.

Poornima: "Why?"

Veeresh: "Good visibility, easier access, and enough space for the layout you've planned."

He looked at her.

Veeresh: "But we won't decide just from photographs. We'll visit all of them."

Poornima smiled.

Poornima: "Really?"

Veeresh: "Yes."

She closed the laptop.

Poornima: "Then tomorrow?"

Veeresh smiled.

Veeresh: "Tomorrow."

Poornima grinned.

Poornima: "Okay, expensive husband. You're coming with me."

Veeresh shook his head.

Veeresh: "As you command, restaurant owner."

Poornima laughed softly.

For the first time in a long time, they were sitting together not because of their marriage...

but because of her dream.
