Chapter 53 — “I Am Your Husband”

Veeresh looked at Poornima as she carefully went through the budget on the laptop.

Veeresh: "Poons, I am your husband. I will help you."

Poornima looked up at him.

Veeresh: "You don't have to put all your savings into this. If you need additional money for the restaurant, I can help you."

Poornima immediately narrowed her eyes.

Poornima: "But I told you I don't want loans."

Veeresh smiled.

Veeresh: "I know."

He leaned back.

Veeresh: "I'm not asking you to take a loan from a bank. I'm offering to help you myself."

Poornima stared at him.

Veeresh: "And if you don't want it to feel like I'm simply giving you money, you can return it to me anytime."

She blinked.

Poornima: "Wow."

Veeresh raised an eyebrow.

Poornima: "You have a brain."

Veeresh gave her an amused look.

Veeresh: "Thank you for finally noticing."

Poornima smiled.

Veeresh: "But remember something, Poons. I am not helping you because I think you can't do it yourself."

His expression became sincere.

Veeresh: "I'm helping because I want to see you achieve your dream."

Poornima looked at him quietly.

Veeresh: "You can use your savings exactly the way you planned. And if something unexpected comes up, I'll be there."

Poornima smiled softly.

Poornima: "Okay, expensive husband."

Veeresh smiled back.

Veeresh: "That's better."

Poornima: "Don't get too happy. You're still on my forgiveness list."

Veeresh laughed softly.

Veeresh: "I'll take whatever progress I can get."
