Chapter 55 — The Name
A few months later, the restaurant was finally beginning to look like the dream Poornima had carried in her heart for years.
The interiors were elegant and warm.
Soft lighting hung above the tables, the furniture was simple but beautiful, and every corner had been designed according to Poornima's vision.
She stood outside the entrance with Veeresh.
The final signboard was still covered.
Veeresh looked at her curiously.
Veeresh: "So, restaurant owner, you finally decided on the name?"
Poornima smiled.
Poornima: "Yes."
Veeresh raised an eyebrow.
Veeresh: "And?"
Poornima looked at the covered signboard proudly.
Poornima: "I wanted something good. Something elegant."
She paused.
Poornima: "Something that feels warm and timeless."
Veeresh looked at her.
Veeresh: "What did you choose?"
Poornima smiled.
Poornima: "I named it Noor."
Veeresh's expression softened.
He looked at her.
Veeresh: "Noor?"
Poornima nodded.
Poornima: "Yes. I wanted the name to mean light."
She glanced toward the restaurant.
Poornima: "And Bubba is the little light in our lives."
Veeresh smiled.
Veeresh: "It's beautiful."
Poornima looked at him.
Poornima: "You like it?"
Veeresh: "I love it."
Poornima smiled proudly.
Poornima: "Good. Because I wasn't going to change it even if you didn't like it."
Veeresh laughed softly.
Veeresh: "I know."
She looked at the sign again.
Poornima: "Noor. Elegant, simple and meaningful."
Veeresh nodded.
Veeresh: "Just like you wanted."
Poornima smiled.
For the first time, she stood in front of something that belonged completely to her.
Her idea.
Her savings.
Her hard work.
Her dream.
And now, her restaurant had a name.
Noor.
