Chapter 62 — I Am All Yours

Poornima had been unusually quiet since returning from the Rathore mansion.

She wasn't angry with Veeresh.

She wasn't arguing with him.

She simply avoided him.

Veeresh noticed it immediately.

He watched her from a distance, trying to understand what had changed.

She had spoken to him normally before they left for the Rathore mansion. But after returning, something about her had changed.

That night, Veeresh sat in the study for a while, thinking about it.

Veeresh: "What happened, Poons?"

He couldn't remember them having a fight.

They hadn't argued.

He hadn't even said anything to upset her.

So why was she suddenly distant?

Later that night, he went to their room.

Poornima was already in bed.

Veeresh quietly lay down beside her, giving her space.

For several minutes, neither of them spoke.

Then, unexpectedly, Poornima turned toward him.

Without saying anything, she moved closer and pulled him toward her.

Veeresh was surprised.

He looked at her.

Poornima didn't look at him.

Poornima: "Nothing, Veer."

He could hear the heaviness in her voice.

Veeresh: "Then why are you like this?"

Poornima remained quiet for a moment.

Poornima: "Just... too many feelings."

Veeresh didn't press her.

He understood that she wasn't ready to explain.

Poornima closed her eyes.

Poornima: "Just sleep."

She moved closer again.

Poornima: "And don't shake."

Veeresh smiled faintly.

He gently pulled her closer, making sure she was comfortable.

Veeresh: "Okay."

He stayed quiet for a moment before speaking softly.

Veeresh: "Sleep, Poons."

Poornima remained in his arms.

Then Veeresh whispered,

Veeresh: "I'm here. Always."

Poornima's eyes remained closed.

His next words settled somewhere deep inside her.

Veeresh: "And I am all yours."

Poornima's breathing slowly became calmer.

Those words made her feel safe.

For a moment, the questions in her mind disappeared.

She didn't think about Rukmini.

She didn't think about being a replacement.

She simply stayed there, listening to his heartbeat.

And Veeresh held her quietly, not asking her to explain anything.

He knew that sometimes, she didn't need answers.

She simply needed to know that he wasn't going anywhere.
