Chapter 15 – The Journey to Germany

The Rajawat family stood outside the airport as Veeresh's private jet waited for them.

Everything had been arranged.

Their luggage had been loaded, their documents were ready, and there was no reason to delay anymore.

Poornima hugged her parents one last time.

Gayathri: "Take care of yourself, beta."

Poornima: "I will, Maa."

Aravind hugged her tightly.

Aravind: "Call us when you reach."

Poornima: "I will, Papa."

Kamala hugged her next.

Kamala: "And remember what I told you."

Poornima smiled.

Poornima: "I remember."

Finally, Poornima turned toward Veeresh.

He was standing a little away, waiting patiently.

Veeresh: "Ready?"

Poornima nodded.

Poornima: "Yes."

They boarded the private jet.

Once they settled into their seats, Veeresh took out his phone and called his assistant.

He began speaking in German, discussing business matters and giving instructions about their arrival in Germany.

Poornima listened quietly.

She couldn't understand most of what he was saying.

After a few minutes, Veeresh ended the call.

He turned toward her.

Veeresh: "You want to work?"

Poornima looked at him.

Poornima: "Work?"

Veeresh: "Your job. If you want to continue teaching, you can."

Poornima looked surprised.

Veeresh continued calmly.

Veeresh: "I will never stop you from working."

Poornima nodded.

Poornima: "Okay."

Veeresh studied her face for a moment.

Veeresh: "You look scared."

Poornima immediately shook her head.

Poornima: "I'm not scared."

Veeresh: "Then?"

Poornima looked out of the window.

Poornima: "It's just... I need time to understand everything."

She turned toward him.

Poornima: "It's a lot. A new marriage, a new country, a completely different life."

Veeresh remained quiet for a moment.

Then his voice softened.

Veeresh: "You have time."

Poornima looked at him.

Veeresh: "You're with me now. You don't have to understand everything today."

She didn't know what to say.

Veeresh leaned back in his seat.

Veeresh: "Sleep."

Poornima smiled faintly.

Poornima: "You always tell me to sleep."

Veeresh: "Because you need rest."

Poornima settled into her seat.

The gentle sound of the aircraft filled the cabin.

After some time, Veeresh noticed that Poornima had become quiet.

She slowly leaned toward him.

Within minutes, she fell asleep with her head resting on his shoulder.

Veeresh looked down at her.

He didn't move.

He simply let her sleep.

For the first time since their marriage, the cold man who had always preferred distance sat quietly with his wife resting against him.

And somewhere between India and Germany, their new life had truly begun.
