Chapter 17 – Singh Industries
At Singh Industries, the atmosphere was completely different from the quietness of the Rajawat house.
The headquarters stood tall in the heart of Germany, with glass walls, modern offices, and employees moving quickly through the corridors.
Everyone knew that Veeresh Singh Rajawat had returned from India.
And everyone knew that today he had an important board meeting.
Veeresh entered his office with his assistant, Rose, following him with a tablet in her hand.
Rose: "Good morning, Mr. Rajawat."
Veeresh: "Morning."
Rose opened her tablet.
Rose: "Your schedule for today. You have the board meeting at ten, followed by the investment committee meeting at twelve-thirty. At two, you have the Japan expansion discussion with the international team."
Veeresh nodded.
Rose continued.
Rose: "At four, there is a meeting with the German partners, and at six, you have a conference call with the Singapore office."
Veeresh: "Move the Singapore call to tomorrow."
Rose: "Yes, sir."
Veeresh placed his files on the desk.
Then he looked at her.
Veeresh: "Rose."
Rose: "Yes, sir?"
Veeresh: "Update my marital status in all company records."
Rose paused.
Veeresh continued.
Veeresh: "My wife is Poornima Veeresh Singh Rajawat."
Rose immediately made a note.
Rose: "I'll have everything updated."
Veeresh: "Not tomorrow. Immediately."
Rose: "Yes, sir."
Veeresh: "Company records, official profiles, internal documents, everything that needs to be changed."
Rose nodded.
Rose: "Understood."
Veeresh picked up the file for his board meeting.
Veeresh: "Let's go."
Rose followed him.
A few minutes later, Veeresh entered the large conference room.
The entire board was already waiting.
Senior executives from different divisions of Singh Industries sat around the long table.
Veeresh took his seat at the head of the table.
The screen behind him displayed the company's quarterly figures and international expansion plans.
One of the directors began presenting.
Director: "The European division has shown significant growth this quarter. However, the Japan expansion will require additional capital."
Veeresh listened carefully.
Director: "We have prepared three proposals for the investment structure."
Veeresh looked at the presentation.
Veeresh: "Show me the second proposal."
The screen changed.
Veeresh studied the figures silently.
Veeresh: "The projected return is too low."
Another executive spoke.
Executive: "Sir, the initial investment is higher because we're planning to establish a permanent operation."
Veeresh: "Then reduce the unnecessary expenditure. I don't want a temporary presence in Japan."
Everyone became silent.
Veeresh leaned back in his chair.
Veeresh: "If Singh Industries enters Japan, we enter properly."
He looked around the room.
Veeresh: "I want the revised proposal on my desk by tomorrow morning."
Everyone nodded.
The meeting continued.
While Veeresh discussed billions in investments and international expansion, somewhere across Germany, Poornima was still exploring her new home and trying to understand the life she had suddenly entered.
And now, officially, her name had begun appearing beside his everywhere.
Poornima Veeresh Singh Rajawat.
A name that was slowly becoming part of the world of Veeresh Singh Rajawat.
