Chapter 25 – A Dinner Invitation

The next morning, Veeresh woke up early.

Poornima was already awake and had freshened up.

She had gone downstairs and prepared breakfast before returning to the bedroom.

Veeresh got ready for work and wore his suit.

When he came downstairs, Poornima was already waiting near the dining table.

Veeresh looked at her.

Veeresh: "Poons, your German class. Don't forget."

Poornima smiled.

Poornima: "Sure. I won't."

Veeresh sat down and began having breakfast.

After a few moments, he looked at her again.

Veeresh: "If you're okay with it, my friends have asked me to host a dinner at our house."

Poornima: "Okay."

Veeresh: "Tomorrow evening."

Poornima nodded.

Poornima: "That's fine."

Veeresh continued eating.

Then he casually asked,

Veeresh: "You know how to cook non-veg?"

Poornima looked at him.

Poornima: "Yes, I know."

Veeresh: "Good. Then tomorrow."

Poornima: "Okay."

He finished his breakfast and stood up.

Veeresh: "I'll be late tonight."

Poornima: "Okay. Take care."

Veeresh nodded and picked up his briefcase.

Veeresh: "You too."

He left for Singh Industries.

Poornima watched him leave before getting ready for her German class.

A little later, she left the penthouse.

She was nervous but excited.

She had decided that if Germany was going to be her new home, she wanted to learn the language properly.

As she entered the classroom, the instructor greeted her in German.

Poornima smiled awkwardly.

Poornima: "Guten Morgen."

The instructor smiled.

Instructor: "Guten Morgen, Frau Rajawat."

Poornima took her seat.

She opened her notebook and prepared herself for her first proper German lesson.

A new country.

A new language.

A new marriage.

And now, slowly, a new life.

She didn't know what tomorrow's dinner would bring.

But she was ready to face it.
