Chapter 50 — Back Home

The next morning, after breakfast, Arnav, Ritika and Rishi left the Singh mansion.

Rishi sat happily in the back seat while Ritika sat beside him.

After some time, they reached the Qureshi mansion.

Arnav stopped the car and got down.

Rishi: Bye, Baba.

Arnav smiled.

Arnav: Bye, champ. Be good.

Rishi nodded.

Rishi: I will.

Arnav looked at Ritika.

Arnav: I'll see you later.

Ritika: Okay.

Arnav nodded and left for Qureshi Industries.

Ritika and Rishi entered the mansion.

Shabana immediately welcomed them.

Shabana: Come, beta.

Ritika smiled.

Ritika: Assalamu alaikum, Maa.

Shabana: Wa alaikum assalam, beta.

Rehnaa came forward.

Rehnaa: How is everyone at the Singh mansion?

Ritika: Everyone is good, Phupi.

Abhram smiled.

Abhram: And Devraj ji?

Ritika: He is good, Papa.

Rehnaa: And Veeresh?

Ritika smiled.

Ritika: He is the same as always.

Everyone laughed softly.

Rishi suddenly looked at Abhram.

Rishi: Dadu!

Abhram: Yes, champ?

Rishi: My school starts tomorrow.

Abhram's face brightened.

Abhram: Tomorrow?

Rishi nodded enthusiastically.

Rishi: Yes, Dadu.

Shabana smiled.

Shabana: Then we have to get everything ready for school.

Rishi: My books are ready.

Rehnaa: What about your uniform?

Rishi: Ready!

Abhram laughed.

Abhram: Very good.

Rishi proudly stood there.

Ritika watched him with a smile.

For her, seeing Rishi excited about school again was a small happiness.

And somewhere across the city, Arnav had already reached Qureshi Industries, unaware that his little champ was eagerly preparing for his first day back at school.
