Chapter 87 — The Next Generation

Years passed, and the Qureshi family watched their children build lives of their own.

Rishi had grown into an accomplished fighter pilot. His dedication and discipline had earned him promotions, and every time Arnav saw his son's uniform, he felt the same pride he had felt on the day Rishi first received his badge.

Ritika never missed an opportunity to tell him how proud she was.

Ritika: You've come so far, Rishi.

Rishi smiled.

Rishi: Because you and Baba always believed in me.

Arnav simply placed his hand on his son's shoulder.

Arnav: Keep flying higher, champ.

Arhaan had chosen a completely different path.

He had entered the business world and eventually inherited a significant part of his father's business empire.

He had learned from Arnav, but he had also developed his own style—confident, ambitious and sometimes just as troublesome as he had been as a child.

But one thing had never changed.

His love for Thoshini.

What had started with a bouquet of tulips had grown into something much deeper over the years.

Eventually, Arhaan had proposed to her.

And Thoshini had accepted.

Veeresh had taken the news with the exact reaction everyone expected.

Veeresh: I still can't believe this boy actually won!

Poornima laughed.

Poornima: You knew this day would come.

Veeresh sighed.

Veeresh: I know.

He looked toward Arhaan.

Veeresh: But he's still the boy who threatened my company.

Arhaan smiled.

Arhaan: Mamu, I told you I would take care of her.

Veeresh: Just don't give me another reason to worry.

Thoshini smiled beside him.

Ayat had chosen academics.

She became a successful professor, respected by her students and loved by her colleagues.

And there was someone who had been quietly—and sometimes not so quietly—in love with her for years.

Rudra.

Rudra was completely devoted to Ayat.

One evening, he sat beside his father.

Rudra: Dad.

Veeresh: Hmm?

Rudra: Talk to Arnav Mamu about our proposal.

Veeresh slowly turned toward him.

Veeresh: What?

Rudra: Ayat.

Veeresh stared at his son.

Veeresh: You want me to talk to Arnav about marrying Ayat?

Rudra nodded.

Rudra: Yes.

Veeresh shook his head.

Veeresh: Asshole son of mine.

Rudra laughed.

Rudra: You love me.

Veeresh: Unfortunately.

Rudra grinned.

Rudra: And I love Ayat.

He became softer.

Rudra: Meri Noor.

Veeresh sighed.

Veeresh: Fine.

Rudra's face lit up.

Veeresh: But I'm warning you now—if Arnav throws you out of his house, don't come crying to me.

Rudra smiled confidently.

Rudra: He won't.

Veeresh: How are you so sure?

Rudra: Because Ayat loves me too.

Veeresh stared at him.

Then he shook his head with a reluctant smile.

Veeresh: This family never gets peace.

From Rishi's uniform to Arhaan's business empire, from Thoshini's acceptance to Rudra's love for Ayat, the next generation had grown up.

And once again, the elders found themselves preparing for another round of love, marriage, arguments—and family chaos.
