Epilogue — Arnav & Ritika

Years had passed.

The Qureshi mansion, which had once been filled with the silence of a guarded and distant Arnav, was now filled with laughter, children, grandchildren and endless family gatherings.

Arnav and Ritika sat together on the terrace one evening.

The city lights glittered below them.

Ritika looked at him and smiled.

Ritika: Do you remember our first night?

Arnav smiled.

Arnav: I remember everything.

Ritika: You barely spoke to me.

Arnav: I was scared.

Ritika looked surprised.

Ritika: You? Scared?

Arnav laughed softly.

Arnav: I didn't know how to tell you about my past. I was afraid you would judge me.

Ritika reached for his hand.

Ritika: And I was afraid you would never accept mine.

Arnav looked at her.

Arnav: But we learned.

Ritika smiled.

Ritika: We fought a lot.

Arnav: You slapped me once.

Ritika laughed.

Ritika: You deserved it.

Arnav: I probably did.

They both laughed.

From downstairs came the sound of children arguing.

Arnav sighed.

Arnav: They're starting again.

Ritika: Let them.

Arnav: Arhaan and Thoshini have already given us enough trouble.

Ritika smiled.

Ritika: And Rishi calls every time he gets a chance.

Arnav nodded proudly.

Rishi had continued his career as a fighter pilot, making his parents proud with every achievement.

Arhaan had become a successful businessman and was happily married to Thoshini.

Ayat had built a successful career as a professor and was happily married to Rudra.

The mansion was no longer simply a house.

It had become a home filled with generations.

Ritika rested her head on Arnav's shoulder.

Ritika: We really built a beautiful family.

Arnav looked at her.

Arnav: We did.

He took her hand.

Arnav: But you know what I'm most grateful for?

Ritika: What?

Arnav smiled.

Arnav: You.

Ritika became quiet.

Arnav: I was so afraid of the past that I almost lost the future.

He squeezed her hand.

Arnav: You taught me that love doesn't erase the past.

He looked into her eyes.

Arnav: It gives you something worth living for.

Ritika smiled through her tears.

Ritika: And you gave me a family when I thought my life had already been written.

Arnav kissed her forehead.

Arnav: Ritu.

Ritika: Hmm?

Arnav: Still my wife.

She smiled.

Ritika: Always.

A moment later, Arhan's voice came from downstairs.

Arhan: Baba!

Arnav closed his eyes.

Arnav: What now?

Ritika laughed.

Ritika: Your troublemaker needs you.

Arnav stood up.

Arnav: I'll never understand how our children grew up and still managed to keep troubling me.

Ritika followed him.

Ritika: That's because they'll always be our children.

Arnav looked back at her and smiled.

They walked downstairs together.

The man who had once been afraid to love had found his home.

The woman who had once wondered whether she could trust again had found her forever.

And after everything—the misunderstandings, tears, laughter, children, weddings and years—they were still walking side by side.

Arnav and Ritika.

Not a perfect love story.

But theirs.

And that was enough.
